Evolve Christian Church is part of the Australian Christian Churches (ACC) movement. Refer to ACC website www.acc.org.au for more details.

The church was established in Melton during 1988 with Pastors Richard & Sonia Doherty taking over the leadership in April of 1998.
We are a church with a desire to encourage people to reach their full potential in life, to impact others with the love of God and to raise up future leaders for the kingdom of God.
Our preaching is geared to connect people to God, develop a healthy relationship with him and become people of influence for him in their sphere of influence.

Each year our preaching is centred around a scripture verse relating to growth, health & influence.
For 2018 our key verse is:
"See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland."
Isaiah 43:19

This year we intend to:
Love God
Reach Our Neighbours
Make Disciples
Release Ministries

What We Believe

Please refer to the Australian Christian Churches website www.acc.org.au for details of our beliefs.

Vision

Pastor Richard has a vision for a church:

• Where the power of God brings freedom, restoration and healing to every area of people’s lives.

• Planting and supporting other churches -- in 2014 two of our Pastors planted a church in Altona: Big Heart Church

• Encouraging strong, supportive and healthy relationships through small groups

• With a vibrant youth and children’s ministry that impacts our younger community with the love of Christ.

• Sending out and supporting missionaries across the globe to spread the Word of God – two of our Pastors left during 2015 to serve as full time missionaries to Japan; for more details see: www.japandirections.com

• Of growth, health and influence bringing honour to God in its local community and beyond.
